Community Right to Challenge

As of the 3rd of December 2012, voluntary and community organisations in Sheffield will be able to use the Community Right to Challenge to express an interest in delivering specific services for Sheffield City Council, with a successful challenge resulting in a procurement process which meets national and European requirements, in which the organisation and other interested bodies would be able to take part.

Sheffield City Council will be holding a briefing session for interested organisations on 18th December, 1-2 p.m. in Conference Rooms 8 & 9 at Moorfoot (the large pyramid building at the bottom of the Moor). This session will provide an opportunity for organisations to find out more about the process and to raise any questions.

If you would like to attend, please contact Victoria Penman on victoria.penman@sheffield.gov.uk or on 0114 2734755. Places are limited, so please respond early.

The guidance for using the Right to Challenge will be made available on the Council website at https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/business-economy/contracts/community-right-to-challenge.html from December 3rd. For any further information in relation to the Right, please contact Jason Swann, Commercial Manager (Projects) on 0114 2053186 or jason.swann@sheffield.gov.uk
