Get Lifewise event for Sheffield over 60’s

South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue along with partners including the NHS will be running an event on Tuesday 24th July at the Lifewise Centre, Hellaby in Rotherham between 9.45 am and 2.30pm. The event is free to attend and will include a buffet lunch for all attendees.

 This event will address issues around:

  • Home Safety
     
  • Doorstep Crime
     
  • Health & wellbeing
     
  • Fire Safety

The aim of the Get Lifewise initiative is to make people living in Sheffield feel safer and healthier and enable them to deal with any difficult situations they might encounter. It is however meant to be an enjoyable and fun event with messages delivered in a unique environment with the objective of raising awareness of a number of important issues.

You will be able to take part in a number of voluntary activities, facilitated by partner agencies (including police, fire service and NHS representatives) that will focus on health, education, crime prevention, personal safety and community services for older people.
