Have you Registered to Vote ?

All residents should now have received their voter registration forms and are being encouraged by Sheffield City Council to confirm the details on the form and return them as soon as possible.

For those households who have not returned their forms, Council canvassers are already visiting households to confirm the details and to take the completed form away with them. This will continue over the next few weeks.  Canvassers will be carrying official Council identification cards and will only be asking households to confirm the details on the voter registration forms.

Every household must respond to this form, stating the names of all the eligible electors who live in the household. If no one is eligible to be registered, residents are being asked to state the reason (e.g. empty property, registered somewhere else or all residents are foreign nationals who are not members of the EU or Commonwealth), to ensure that the Council’s records are accurate. If the pre-printed details on the form are correct the quickest and most cost effective method of responding is by telephone or internet.
