101 – A new non-emergency number for South Yorkshire Police On Friday 4th November 2011

South Yorkshire Police’s non-emergency number is to change to 101 replacing the existing 0114 2202020 number which will be gradually phased out later this year. This will happen across the county and all forces in England and Wales will be using 101 as their non-emergency number by early 2012.

In South Yorkshire this service will be available from 4th November 2011 when residents will be able to contact SYP on 101to report non-emergency incidents, get crime prevention advice and talk to their Safer Neighbourhood Team.
