Sheffield Big Spring Clean is back!

Sheffield's Big Spring Clean

Dust off the winter cobwebs and spring into action to take part in Sheffield’s third annual spring clean. This year’s Big Spring Clean will take place from 7 March to 30 April 2011.

All of us can do our bit to help to keep where we live clean. You could join together with other people and litter pick the streets and open spaces where you live, pick up rubbish as you go for a walk or even get your voluntary group, local association, youth club, school or faith group to have a clean up event and turn it into a party! You could also persuade your managers at work to sign up and get involved.

Streetforce would love to hear about your successes and see pictures of your events.

  • Send them to Streetforce at marked ‘Spring Clean’
  • Tell them how many people took part and how much rubbish you collected
  • Share your story with Streetforce and write to your local paper
  • Check out the website for other ways to spread the news

To join in with The Big Spring Clean, simply fill in the registration form, giving a brief outline of your plans and if you need to borrow any equipment form Street Force Community Services section.

Once you have registered, Streetforce will contact you to let you know what equipment you can have and arrange a time with you when you can collect it. For more information contact Street Force’s Community Services section on 0114 273 4221, or email
