Free Insulation for the East Ecclesfield Ward

The Sheffield City Council Free Insulation Scheme has now moved to the East Ecclesfield Ward. The East Ecclesfield Ward is made up of Colley, Ecclesfield, Chapeltown and parts of Chapelgreen. People living in this area can now have their homes insulated for free through this scheme.

The scheme offers free loft and cavity wall insulation for all homeowners and private tenants on a ward by ward basis, as well fast tracking those people who need it most across Sheffield.  The aim is to cover the whole city, ward by ward, street by street over the next few years, subject to funding.

Since the scheme started in April 2009, over 21,000 households across Sheffield have signed up. Working with Eaga Insulation, the only company selected to work on this scheme,  4683 cavity walls and 15,434 loft insulation measures have been installed or identified so far.

To find out more about this scheme please call 0800 915 9096 (8am – 6pm Monday to Friday) or visit the website: www.sheffield.gov.uk/freeinsulation
